1. After purchasing your TV you should also buy one of the many flat screen TV wall mounts available on the market.
2. Where appropriate, remove the base that comes attached to your TV.
3. You should see 4 holes in the back of your TV. This is where the TV bracket should be placed. There may be three pieces to the mount.
4. Carefully lay the TV face down onto a carpet or soft cloth.
5. Place the TV wall mount bracket on the back of the flat screen TV so that it is aligned in the center.
6. Make sure to measure so that there is an even distance from the top and bottom.
7. Now you need to find the correct bolts which came with the bracket. Make sure that they are of the correct size and thread pattern otherwise they could ruin the TV.
8. Next you should place all the bolts through the bracket and into the back of the TV, using a good screwdriver to tighten the bolts down without moving the bracket. You may wish to use washers in order to get a tighter fit.
9. Next locate the studs in your wall. The best way of doing this is with a stud finder. Next place the largest part of the bracket on the wall lined up with the studs you have just found.
10. With another person’s help, you should hold the bracket to the wall then screw the largest bolts into the studs. Use a drill or perhaps a socket and wrench.
11. Again with someone to help you with the lifting, pick up the flat screen TV and hang it onto the bracket. Tighten all the nuts that are attached to the bracket so that the television will be mounted tightly to the bracket.
12. Do not let go of the TV until you are sure that it is sturdy and will hold the weight of the TV before you fully let go.
