The other way is to have them behind the screen in a setup called a backlit LED TV. You will be glad to know that, both of these LED technologies consume less energy than a fluorescent tube Plasma or LCD screen. The edgelit LED Televisions are cheaper and can also be very thin.

The back lit LED Television would give you better viewing pleasure if you are willing to pay a little more. If the sharpest darkest black colors are important to you, then you will want a back lit LED TV set.

If you don’t look around, you can end up paying up to two times as much for a LED backlit TV compared to a similar size Plasma or LCD TV.
